Adaptive planning focuses on reducing planning response times, adapting to change, and net-centric and collaborative efforts.

DPRA Australasia partners with DPRA development teams to produce technology that enables military leaders to collaboratively plan all aspects of military response options, and exercises and training. Focusing on net-centric, collaborative planning functionality, planners are able to develop immediate and deliberate plans with ease. Most importantly, every plan is archived to be available for review and modification. Planners have a set of integrated planning tools that enable forces, personnel, casualty prediction and medical, logistics, and Reception Staging Onward-Movement and Integration (RSOI) planning. All of these functions are integrated across the Services participating in a joint task force.

Information sharing is a critical aspect of DPRA’s Adaptive Planning process, leading to streamlined operations plan and force flow data development. Force flow analysis over time enables review of the plan in terms of combat power closure into theatre, logistics flow and assignment of transportation assets, thus ensuring the course of action reflects national objectives.
