CEPTER
(Collaborative Environment for Planning, Transportation, Execution and Re-Planning system)- In recent years the concepts of Net centricity have driven an expectation that intra and inter-organisation response planning will be supported by collaborative, web based software. An effective collaborative environment, with supporting architectures and an integrated suite of tools is required to realise that expectation. That prototype system is called CEPTER (Collaborative Environment for Planning, Transportation, Execution and Re-Planning).
- The CEPTER prototype has been developed for the Australian Defence Force by DPRA Australasia and DPRA Systems Group. CEPTER tools, applications and architecture are fully integrated to provide planning functionality essential to develop shared, accurate, timely, executable and reportable military responses to operational scenarios.
- CEPTER is a portal in which a comprehensive set of integrated and web-based guidance, force building, logistic, transportation, and analysis tools and applications available for collaborative planning resides. When deployed, CEPTER will be available to all authorised personnel in the ADF, thus enabling a network centric, collaborative planning environment.
- CEPTER functionality includes:
- Force (Plan) Building
- Manage the force-in-being (Order of Battle)
